Salvation
Salvation can only be acquired on the grounds of the death of Christ on the cross as our substitute. Without it the sinner has no hope. Salvation depends entirely on the grace of God and through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Law-keeping, good works and religious activity cannot accomplish salvation; it rests wholly on the finished work of Christ on the Cross. It is acquired by all those who hear and understand the gospel, truly repent of their sin, and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone as their Lord and Saviour.
This is what the Bible says about Salvation -
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" 2 Peter 3: 9
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" John 3: 16
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10: 9-13
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works." Ephesians 2: 8-9
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4: 12
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3: 3
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12
